This Graph represents the total amount of casualties at the battle of Fredericksburg, 1861. The south(Confederate) had 5,309 casualties altogether and the north(Union) had 12,653.Casualties are a loss to the service through an injury, death, sickness, capture etc. There were 595 Confederate soldiers killed, and almost twice as many Union soldiers were killed, 1,284. On the Confederate side before casualties there were 72,00 total troops and on the Union side there 114,000 troops.
